Description
Muddy Reality is a branch off of Middle Earth Mud. When Middle Earth Mud III is finished it will be stripped of Middle Earth Specific code and released as Muddy Reality. Muddy Reality will be written in C++ and will take full advantage of C++ objects, while not being fully object oriented. It will aim for realism, but also flexiblity and configurability. It will try to strike a balance that will allow very realistic worlds or very fantastic worlds to be build. It will also attempt to be very configurable by someone who has only minimal or no coding experience.
History
Muddy Reality (originally title Real Mud) sprang into being at the same time as Middle Earth Mud III. It recently recieved a name change as the name Real Mud is both boring and already taken. While progress has been slower than I’d like over the last four years, it has been steady and Muddy Reality alpha4 is online to be explored and tested as Middle Earth Mud currently.
Current State
It is still a very feature limited alpha. Character and Account creation is working. The dynamic storage system is fully functional and implemented in most of the currently included classes. The movement system is fully functional for all of the planer directions, however up and down are still not functioning. Shaping is partially written for several of the classes, but not yet functional.
