National Geographic is 50% owned by News Corporation. Which means some of that advertising money makes its way into the coffers of News Corporation. And some of that money makes it into Rupert Murdoch’s pockets. From their it goes to Glen Beck, and Sean Hannity and Bill O’Reilly. Every time you watch a movie released by 20th Century Fox, you’re paying Rupert Murdoch and allowing him to continue to spew garbage through Fox News. Every time you visit MySpace or Hulu. Anytime you watch *any* television channel with “Fox” in the name. You’re putting money in Glen Beck’s pocket.
I know there are many people out there who hate Fox News and the ridiculous propaganda they spew about as much as I do. So why don’t we all agree, we’ll do nothing that in anyway supports News Corporation. We’ll watch no movie, read no newspaper, visit no webpage, and watch no television channel that News Corporation owns any part of.
It may not do much. It would take a boycott by millions of people to actually hurt News Corporations coffers much at all. But at the very least, we’ll have the peace of mind to know that no action we are taking is putting any money — no matter how little — into the pockets of the people we hate.

Here is a full list of News Corporation holdings. It’s a lot of stuff to avoid, but it can be done. After all, it’s all entertainment. And there are better entertainment offerings out there. Ones that don’t come with an automatic donation to support a right wing propaganda machine.
